ABSTRACT

While no two ADD students are alike, they do have common problems which may be solved by implementing specific behavioral strategies. The following section of the handbook looks at a number of common behavior problems of ADD students. Following abrief description of the problem, explanations are offered as to the possible reasons why the problem behavior is maintained by the student. Often, the behavior of ADD students can be explained as symptomatic of their disorder. Steps for the teacher to follow in solving the problem are suggested.
