ABSTRACT
The primary characteristics found in children with attention deficit disorder (ADD or ADHD), namely, inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity are exhibited by all children to some degree. What distinguishes ADD children from others is that these characteristics are prevalent to a far greater degree, and in a wider range of situations and circumstances, than would be true of children without this disorder.
