ABSTRACT
In recent years there has been a widening interest in the social origins of locus of control and like constructs. Though research pertaining to social origins has been on the increase, there is some lack of incisiveness as well as of conclusiveness in the results obtained thus far. Nevertheless, some consistency can be found in the evidence deriving from diverse sources.
