ABSTRACT
Science deals with knowledge—or, better, the pursuit of knowledge. Knowledge has several definitions in the dictionary, but all of these definitions refer to one or the other of two general meanings: (1) knowledge as information and (2) knowledge as understanding. Knowledge in its fullest sense means knowing what is true and knowing why it is true.
