ABSTRACT
This book could not have been written until recently because much of the research reported in Chapters 7 through 10 was only carried out in the 1990s, although, as we have shown, it builds on experimental research that began in the 1930s and continues to progress. In this final chapter we point to some the areas of development that we have not been able to include earlier, we consider human rights issues, and we suggest where and how some significant future developments may occur.
