ABSTRACT

Movement is everywh ere. A bouncy walk and smiling lips or a sunken chest and downcast eyes all give the observer material for interpretation. Changing levels of muscle tension are ever-present movement qualities which can be quite revealing. Observers often rely on tension flow changes to get a general "feel" for the other. Putting a hand on someone's shoulder one may sense their anxiety or ease. Watching a person tighten up in pain, an observer may "feel" what the sufferer feels.
