Interpreting a KMP of Carlos, a Three-and-One-Half-Year-Old Boy: An Illustrative Case

In this chapter we will offer a sample Kestenberg Movement Profile of a three-and-a-halfyear-old child and take the reader through the process of making initial interpretations and formulating hypotheses. In this KMP analysis we will illustrate how to interpret the KMP using a developmental framework. We will not link this interpretation to any particular theoretical framework per se but use this as a model for a movement-based assessment. More specialized types of interpretation can be used by profilers in keeping with their own orientations.
