With those basic assumptions about decisions made under ignorance, Collingridge concludes that there are four characteristics of decisions that make them responsive to the possible need for flexibility for integrating new information:
• Decisions should be highly corrigible, i.e., they should be able to be corrected with minimal jeopardy to the desired outcome.
