ABSTRACT
Latinos were the youngest population group in 1992 with half the population younger than 26. Based on the recent Census projections, the Latino population will still be the youngest population group by 2050. The median age of Latinos will be 31.0 years compared to the median age of 33.0 years for the African American population and 44.0 years for the White population (U.S. Bureau of Census, 1996).
