ABSTRACT
The representation of design cases is the essence of a case-based design system. The details of design case memory determine what the case memory can be used for, how cases can be retrieved, and whether there is enough information for case adaptation. When considering the representation of case memory, three major issues are raised:
The content of design cases.
The representation paradigms for case memory organization.
The presentation of design cases to the user.
