ABSTRACT
The authors of these articles have presented an excellent review, with many examples, of undergraduate courses and graduate programs in community research and action. Particularly important are the types of knowledge and skills that are taught, the professional roles available for community graduates, the importance of close working relationships with community organizations, the steps and issues to consider when planning a community course or program, and the possible future directions of education in community research and action.
