ABSTRACT

The presenting diagnosis was post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) with agoraphobia. Wynona, a ten-year-old girl, was constantly having nightmares. She would wake up crying, then would awaken her mother and stepfather. She would crawl into bed with them and seemed fine for the rest of the night. Her parents thought these episodes would gradually decrease. After three months without change, they tried medication. After three more months, Wynona's parents's worry reached a peak and they came in for therapy on the advice of their family doctor.
