ABSTRACT
We have a large family, seven children, and I used to be in business for myself and it seemed like I never had time for politics and political issues. Then I went to a statewide women's conference to put together issues and a slate of people to go to Houston for the International Women's Year Conference. This was the first time I ever saw democracy fail.
