ABSTRACT

This chapter aims to revisit the essays to show how the four figurations presented-escaping, creating, controlling and formalizing are present in each individual's life and learning and to show how the four figurations overlap in each individual's life. It describes four figurations of learning in Na-sop, Ki-nam, Myong-hwan and So-shim's lives and learning. The essay contains the life and learning of a fifth person, Ms Tong-jong-wol Ham, who is not included in the figuration essays, so the chapter returns to the four figurations contains all five people's lives and learning. Tong-jong-wol learned traditional Korean song and dance, gayageum and other musical instruments for 18 months. After an overview of Tong-jong-wol's life, the essay is followed by a series of short sections with four subhea dings - the four figurations. In these four sections, each of the five subjects will talk about their learning and lives in terms of the four figurations.
