ABSTRACT
The operational approach to unscrambling corporate political behavior relies on three platforms: scholarship of political science, the research and writings of the strategic issue management public policy business school discipline, and the analytical capture of lessons and insights from four decades of corporate government and political affairs personal experience. Together, these three provide the intellectual lift and practical foundation essential to the operational approach to explaining corporate political behavior. This introduction sketches each platform and provides an overview of what lies ahead.
