ABSTRACT

Positive psychology is both a theoretical and applied psychological movement that strives to understand the factors that help people function and flourish at optimal levels. Thus, it is a psychological approach that helps individuals build quality lives by focusing on positive subjective experiences, positive character, and positive institutions (Suldo, 2013). Moreover, positive psychology is about using scientifically informed perspectives related to what makes life worth living and it focuses on aspects of the human condition that lead to happiness, fulfillment, and flourishing (Linley, Joseph, Harrington, & Wood, 2006). As such, positive psychology has practical and powerful implications for the fields of psychology and education (Chafouleas & Bray, 2004).
