ABSTRACT

A review has two purposes in which first, it aims to give the reader information. If it is a review of a novel, it will aim to tell you something about the theme of the story. If it is a review of a non-fiction book, it will aim to tell you what features of the subject it covers. Similarly, a review of a film or CD will describe its contents and a review of a computer game will tell you what sort of game it is. The second purpose of a review is to give the reviewer's personal opinion to say what he/she liked or disliked about the book, film, CD or game. The reader can then decide whether or not it is a book they'd like to read, a film they'd like to see or a game they'd like to buy.
