Guiding principle 3: Providing equal access to services for people with learning disabilities

Very often people with a learning disability do not have access to important aspects of life such as friendships, relationships, housing, medical treatment and information. Society treats these people in a certain way. There are certain models that society uses to deal with people with a learning disability and these are discussed in this chapter.
