ABSTRACT

Shelly Sanchez Terrell explains vision requires tenacity, work, time, and drive. This means that the path towards accomplishing this or any goal cannot be easy. As educators, we have a broader vision to improve the lives of the students and colleagues who cross our paths. This broader vision is our purpose. One have each thought about our purpose, and being an educator is part of that purpose. Our purpose will change with our experiences and the changes in our career. Part of creating positive change is envisioning us accomplishing something great. This accomplishment could be carrying out a lesson that successfully integrates technology, creating a club, conducting a teacher workshop, or establishing a connection with student's parents. Teachers may think have little impact on student's lives and futures when they leave classroom. Even if they believe this to be true, she can still expect greatness from students and expect greatness in role as an educator.
