ABSTRACT

This chapter shows how to create teaching manifesto. The author think it is time follow Jerry Maguire's example and create our own teaching manifestos that outline our beliefs about learning and teaching. As educators teachers sometimes forget to reflect on the educational philosophies when first started teaching. After receiving real classroom experience they should reflect on our educational philosophies in order to refine them. Teachers have a profound impact on our thinking and learning. Students have access to the best thinkers, researchers, writers, professionals, and subject matter experts (SMEs) in every field. They can connect with them on blogs or Twitter. They can watch their YouTube videos and also take free courses with these SMEs. Lecturing is no longer an effective instructional strategy, because we will never be as current or knowledgeable as the World Wide Web. Each week, try to make a change in curriculum and classroom arrangement to reflect your idea of what learning should look like.
