The Common Core State Standards have been described with words like “dramatic changes,” “overhaul,” “reform,” “retool,” and, “instructional shifts.” So what exactly are educators saying about how the Common Core Literacy Standards, now in place for several years in most states, have actually changed their day-to-day classroom goals, plans, and actions?
