ABSTRACT

Oh it would be so nice if while doing all of this teaching I had more time to write about it in a form meaningful to others. I believe the NCTM and CCSSM Standards are here to provoke mathematical thinking in students and teachers alike. I chose this lesson because it generates a lot of information about the students’ mathematical thinking that both students and teachers can discuss. In addition, this mathematical problem allows for many solutions that can be represented in various forms so that I can help all my students reach a level of success while engaging in lots of decision making.
