ABSTRACT

This introduction presents an overview of the key concepts discussed in the subsequent chapters of this book. The book is meant to aid in creating the common language and common structure of communicating our individual contents that unite us all as a school site and as a profession. In 2010, the first book was published, 'Tween Crayons and Curfews: Tips for Middle School Teachers. They chose the word common because it meant that we all have goals in common. But another reason that rededicated to a different kind of meaningful instruction was because my knowledge of educational assessment history grew. The goal here is to focus more on creative non-fiction or on literary fiction that utilizes various literary elements. And with the new Common Core Standards, and the expectations for all of the subjects that go hand in hand with them. The first explores the less structured expectation of writing as it relates to higher education.
