ABSTRACT

The Normative Studies Research Project (NSRP) was designed to develop normative data and to examine the clinical utility of particular neuropsychological tests. The unique aspects of this work were the samples that were utilized. As described earlier in this book, an older urban medical population was used. Compared to most normative samples, then, the NSRP research projects included more individuals with less thanigh school education, and more minority subjects. The NSRP began by first investigating individual tests. The NSRP test battery was only developed later, after several years of utilizingariety of different measures. In this chapter, the research on the individual tests studied will be highlighted and then followed byeview of the complete NSRP test battery, as well as research related with the test battery.
