ABSTRACT

I would submit that the logic of using the school building as the unit of analysis and intervention, when we are talking about at least twenty-five to thirty teachers and support staff and 500 pupils, is a goofy logic. Why the school?… How much collaboration can we expect between 8th grade physics teachers, 11th grade English teachers and physical education instructors?… Why must we become, at virtually all costs, a socially cohesive community, when so few of the requisite conditions for becoming one are met?
