ABSTRACT

Natural Rubber is customarily divided into the three main categories of solid latex rubbers, field coagulum, and latex concentrates, each of which denotes the method of initial preparation. The virtues of NR in the processing phase of rubber products lie in its good green strength and tack, which enable article shapes to be better maintained prior to vulcanization. The issue of quality arises particularly with NR, for it is often undermined by careless production under widely varying conditions. There is growing demand for TSR Controlled Viscosity (CV) rubbers, which counter storage hardening as well as saving energy in the milling stage of manufacturing. Planting rubber trees is preceded by felling and clearing jungle, uncultivated scrub, old rubber trees or another crop. The tapping which begins at maturity involves periodically cutting bark on the trunk, and hence severing latex vessels.
