ABSTRACT

When we speak of objects simpliciter, we mean as a rule real objects that truly are and belong to this or that category of Being. Whatever we assert then concerning objects—provided we speak reasonably—we must submit, whether as meant or spoken, to “logical grounding”, “proof” (Ausweisen), direct “vision”, or mediated “insight”. In the logical sphere, in that of statement, “that which truly or really (wirklich)is”and “that which is rationally demonstrable” (Ausweisbar)are intrinsically correlated; and so for all doxic modalities ontical or positional. Of course, the possibility of a rational demonstration (Ausweisung) which stands here in question is not to be understood as empirical but as “ideal”, as an essential possibility.
