ABSTRACT

We have learnt to understand the meaning of the phenomenological έποΧή, but we are still quite in the dark as to its serviceability. In the first place it is not clear to what extent the limitation of the total field of the έποΧή, as discussed in the previous pages, involves a real narrowing of its general scope. For what can remain over when the whole world is bracketed, including ourselves and all our thinking (cogitare)?
