ABSTRACT

Is this processso successfulthat a challenge is virtually impossible? If it is no longer necessary to make straightforward ideological appeals for work then the appeals can neither be heard nor countered. If the apparatus of capitalist authority based on property has been dismantled both by the left and the right because of its essential inefficiency in eliciting subordinate support, then it hardly makes sense to look for a radical reaction to it. If workis being reconstructed in order to become a satisfying activity which the worker will welcome then how can the same worker be expected to reject it?
