ABSTRACT

In this chapter some of the struggles of one autistic child (Peter of the previous chapter) to develop a mind of his own will be described. The presentation will be a simple description rather than a scientific account. It seeks to portray the insights which psychotic child patients have revealed to me over the years, some of which are not an established part of current psychotherapeutic practice with psychotic children. The picture of these insights in operation will be painted through some par ticularly refreshing and interesting sessions.
