ABSTRACT
Socialization and motivation of the elderly in the convalescent hospital are commonly used terms. What do they mean and how can they be achieved? Some people even ask why the elderly should be resocialized and remotivated. Socialization is the interaction with others, being fond of others’ company, and enjoyment of group activities. Motivation is the inner drive or impulse that causes one to act.
