ABSTRACT
The most obvious need is for work to develop knowledge of the ways in which the profit statements, balance sheets, funds flow statements and other information in financial reports can, and do, assist people to form their estimates about the financial position, performance and prospects of businesses and other entities. This suggests a number of areas of research.
