ABSTRACT

In the previous chapter, blind hand rotation to orthogonal simple structure was illustrated for the 12-variable sample problem through the inspection of orthogonal factor plots, two factors at a time. In this chapter, the process is extended to the case of nonorthogonal factors. Plots are examined, two at a time, to determine if any oblique rotations are called for, that is, if the factor axes should depart from orthogonal positions.
