ABSTRACT
The outstanding point resulting from any study of prostitution as it stands to-day is that professional prostitution is declining. There are fewer prostitutes walking the streets of London, New York, Paris or any other large city than at most times during the past twenty years. There are fewer prostitutes in brothels, and there are fewer registered prostitutes outside the brothels.
