ABSTRACT
It is always of interest to take stock of a country after a period of change. Poland has now been an independent Republic for fifteen years—years during which the Poles faced the task of reconstruction and consolidation after the war, a Bolshevik invasion, and, more recently, the world agricultural crisis.
