ABSTRACT
This is a top-ranking bistro. It is situated in a narrow dark street in an out-of-the-way quarter. To the ordinary passer-by it must be hard to believe that this insignificant façade with its tiny entrance should hide a restaurant where such fine food is to be found. The little dining-room is very simply decorated with mirrors on the plainly painted walls. There is sawdust on the tiled floors. The marble-topped tables are covered with gay striped cloths. At the far end of the room there is an open hatchway through which Monsieur Antoine, chef and proprietor, can be seen at work in the kitchen.
