ABSTRACT

If you arrive in Paris by train at the Gare Montparnasse, and you have had a tiring journey, then go and restore yourself at the nearby Aux Bonnes Choses. This is a typical bistro with an unprepossessing facade. Inside, there is no luxury; a rough unpolished floor, wallpaper of a small provincial restaurant, simple chairs and tables with paper tablecloths, a pot-bellied stove. But it is the food that counts.
