ABSTRACT
On our homeward drive to the Ruala camp, only an hour or so after we had parted from Ibn Meheyd, we were attacked by Bedouins from ambush in a wadi. The ensuing action was brief, but it cost the life of Abd el-Karim, who was particularly dear to Faris, while our assailants left three dead behind. They proved to be Saba of the House of Rakan.
