ABSTRACT
For most of us, who think about the person in the context of biological evolution, the finite person is to be conceived – no matter what – as a certain stage in the evolutionary process. For others of us, the conception of man must fit in with the conviction that he is God’s creature. Plato can teach us, I think, an important lesson, even though for this Plato-enthusiast his conclusions leave much to be desired.
