ABSTRACT

This is a schematic review of Piaget’s stage-dependent theory. The present writer is fully aware of the inadequacy of this condensation. It may serve, nevertheless, as an outline for correlation with other stage-dependent theories and, possibly, to support this writer’s belief in the interdependence of the complex and diverse elements that go to make up the whole. Piaget’s system is selected as offering a most meaningful epistemological discourse on cognitive development.
