ABSTRACT

Disorders of motion vary in degree and in kind depending upon their intensity, extent, and location in the neuromuscular system. Between the extremes of total disability and mere awkwardness there is a broad spectrum comprising paralysis, involuntary movement, tremor, incoordination, disequilibrium, and weakness. Each disorder may be mild, moderate, or severe; generalized or localized; static or progressive; reflected in disorders of gait, manipulation, or speech.
