ABSTRACT
This chapter is concerned with human sexual development throughout the life cycle. We therefore start with gender identity disorders, since these take their onset in the pre-school child, and pass on to consider homosexuality since it appears that events in childhood and adolescence are of some aetiological importance in both of these conditions.
