The FMC provides complete new tariff creation, filing and maintenance for companies operating as common carriers in the domestic and foreign commerce of the United States that are required to file public tariffs with the Federal Maritime Commission as per the Shipping Act of 1984 in accordance with Title 46 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 514. Tariff requests are prepared and transmitted to the FMC’s ATFI System the same day the request is received and made available in either hard copy or data via their Apex for Windows retrieval service.
