The Forwarder’s Certificate of Transport (FCT) was introduced by FIATA for the use by international freight forwarders within the FIATA organizations.

By issuing a FIATA FCT document to the consignor, the freight forwarder assumes the responsibility to deliver the goods at destination through the medium of an agent appointed by him.The FIATA FCT can be handed over to the consignor immediately after the consignment has been handed over to the freight forwarder for shipment.
