In another school there had been a number

of problems around good careers advice and

guidance for some of the more specialised

vocational routes and it was felt by staff and

some parents that the learners were not being

best served. A collaboration was developed with

a local college which allowed access not only to

improved advice but also to taster sessions and

some placements in established employer links.
