ABSTRACT
In this chapter we discuss issues that relate to the actual processes of conducting and recording observations. We first explore some of the challenges experienced by observers during observations. We look at the requirements for producing informative observational records and conclude by seeing observation as a context of dynamic interactions between the observed, the observer and the observation context.
