ABSTRACT
We argue that worship and education are intrinsically linked. Furthermore pupils need to take part in worship in order to have a proper understanding of religion since worship is at the heart of religion. Increasing secularization makes it more important that schools offer pupils the experience of worship. Pupils need space in which to make their own personal response and we suggest ways of making this possible which respect the integrity of religious traditions while allowing commonality to be explored.
