Date and publication. Probably spoken early in 1673 (see 1. 6n). Lodowick Carlell’s Arviragus and Philicia (1639) was assigned to Killigrew and the King’s Company in 1669; from 11. 1-4 it appears that it was revived at Lincoln’s Inn Fields after the burning o f the Theatre Royal in 1672. It was printed in MP (1684; reprinted 1692). Another prologue for this revival appears in London Drollery (1673) (Danchin no. 151b).
