ABSTRACT
The following declension of the pronoun hic, meaning ‘this’, should be compared with the declension as set out in Kennedy's Shorter Latin Primer, p. 31. The Primer will be used from now on as a book of reference. It will be seen that the forms with ae in Kennedy are given here with e only; this is one of the differences between classical and medieval practice, which holds good for all types of word.
