ABSTRACT
Alta Vista and most other top search engines (HotBot, Lycos and Infoseek) incorporate advanced database search features that allow users to filter records with increased precision. Utilizing these features you may be able to return a relatively short list of records that include the information that you are seeking. In order to access the Advanced Search interface, Figure 8.1, you need to select Advanced Search from the Alta Vista home page <https://www.altavista.digital.com" xmlns:xlink="https://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">https://www.altavista.digital.com> (see Figure 7.2,p. 73).
